A Reminder About Pick up and Drop Off
Our experienced Rideau Park families are familiar with the parking limitations around our
unique school property, especially at pick-up and drop-off times. To ensure everyone’s safety, Rideau Park has restricted vehicle access in the area around the school. Please remember to:
- Park in designated street parking areas or in the south parking lot adjacent to our school field
- Avoid parking in the cul-de-sac, alleys, or school parking lot
- Give yourself plenty of time in the morning to navigate traffic, avoid rushing to arrive to school and feeling pressed to park “for only a minute” in one of the restricted parking areas

Staffing Update
We have experienced some support staffing transitions over the last few weeks. We have bid farewell and wished the best of luck to several individuals who have served Rideau Park School well.
- Our Facility Operator, Ms. Elenita Klaben has moved to a different school
- One of our Classroom Complexity Team EAs, Ms. Tamara, is leaving the CBE to pursue further graduate studies. Today was her last day with us!
Lunch Supervisor, Ms. Laurie has also moved on from the CBE to explore other career opportunities.
We are in the process of interviewing candidates for our EA and lunch supervision positions. Hiring of facilities staff is handled by our system Facilities team. We will provide an update on our new hires when we have that finalized.
Lifetouch Studio - Retake Photos November 13 and November 21
Lifetouch has made the booking process much easier for families by eliminating an extra step. Parents no longer need to select Studio Calgary from the booking options. Instead, they can simply scan the QR code on their flyer.

Noon Hour Activity Fee — Grades 7–9
An annual fee of $10 has been added to students’ MyCBE fee accounts.
This general school-based fee supports a range of optional noon-hour activities. It helps cover the purchase and replenishment of items students use, including:
- Outdoor sports equipment
- Supplies for teacher-supervised clubs
- Games and puzzles in the Learning Commons
As winter weather approaches, more Grade 7–9 students spend lunch indoors. This fee helps ensure materials are available to support a positive and welcoming school climate during the lunch hour.
Gym Strip and Spirit Wear — Summarized Designs
All students in Grades 7–9 are required to change into a gym strip for PE classes.
Summarized Designs will continue to supply Rideau Park School spirit wear this year, including replenishments for students’ PE wardrobes. The vendor complements our fall gym-strip offering by making Rideau Park “R” logo T-shirts and other activewear available throughout the year.
